When I sent this original email to you, I was on Cloud 9 after taking BEC and FAR and feeling that Yaeger Cram had me fully prepared for the exams. I had a good feeling all along, and being a North Carolina (snail mail) candidate, I’m just now getting my wave 1 scores for these two exams.
BEC – 77
FAR – 80
Yaeger Cram single handedly increased my FAR score from 69 to 80. Of course, there was a lot of my hard work that went into it… but I am telling anyone and everyone I know that Yaeger is worth more than the price you pay! I can’t tell you how happy I am that I used your Cram course. I took Audit the other day, and begin studying for what I expect to be my last section of the exam (REG) for January 2011. I have my 2010 REG Cram at arm’s distance ready to go when I am done with my study materials that I wasted many many $$$ on with that other review course. I know that the 2010 is outdated now, but I am sure that I can make adjustments to be prepared for 2011. I had a conversation with a future candidate the other day that was looking into what study materials to buy and I gave her my assessment of Becker and Yaeger and she said that when she gets ready to actually purchase… she’ll be calling up Yaeger! She could tell from the excitement in my voice which materials to purchase! My opinion: Becker shouldn’t be able to legally charge what they do for their product! 90% of the reason people buy their materials is because it’s the most expensive, which I thought translated to passing the exam.

I am studying for my BEC test and just wanted to take a moment to say that, although I have taken Cost and Managerial Accounting, and have done well in my classes, I never really “understood” what I was doing and why. After watching Cindy’s videos I get it! Not only do I understand how to calculate the figures, the way she presents the material sticks in your head! If I had an instructor, such as Cindy, when I was going through school I would not only known the material but also understood the flow of these calculations. This benefit is well worth its weight in gold! Knowing how to answer the questions being asked is one thing, but understanding the question and the concepts behind it is so cool!

I’m not sure exactly to whom I should address this note, but I felt someone at Yeager ought to hear what I have to say.
I took FAR yesterday [October 25] and I had a positive experience. But this was not my first time for FAR. I was a Becker student. I spent the entire summer working with Becker for FAR and never felt that I had mastered a concept, or that I could answer any number of questions. Becker?s questions are so hard and complicated that when I got into the exam I felt that the CPA was trying to trick me on every single question. Becker never taught a concept, and was just a glorified PowerPoint presentation. I got my score back? 69. That score was not indicative to the effort I put in.
After my FAR exam, I picked up the pieces and began my BEC studies. I went back to Becker and felt the same as I did for FAR. I felt at the end of my studies I was not prepared at all. I heard about the Yaeger CRAM sessions on Another 71.com and thought, I need to give this a try. I ordered it, had 1.5 weeks to use the Cram before testing. I was so impressed with the BEC cram, I felt prepared for the exam, and after I sat for it, I thought to myself, ?I may have just passed that.?
But what I really want to tell your team is that I took FAR yesterday and I felt GOOD about it.
I had 3 weeks between BEC and FAR… I hit the Wiley book and the Cram videos hard. I worked all of the minimum questions, and really appreciated the wording of the questions? they were like the CPA questions. With Becker’s questions, they try to throw everything at you in each question, but the Wiley ones resembled what I saw on the exam. I felt that every single question I got on FAR yesterday, I was prepared to at least try to answer. I walked out of there thinking that “I may have passed.”
I can?t say enough about how great all of the Yeager instructors are. They had me much better prepared than Becker ever did. Thank you so much to the entire team. No study material is good for all people? but this one was good for me. Becker was not.

However, I FAILED BEC 3 times in a row, and I honestly didn’t think I
was going to ever pass, but I researched for different products and

Dr, Yaeger got on the phone with me and sent me to the local Barnes and Noble to get the Wiley book, and you worked with Sonny to get my DVD shipped ASAP. I am just writing to let you know that I passed FAR with a 79 and I am 100% sure I couldn’t have done it without Dr. Yaeger and Cindy. Thank you so much for your help. I just received word that I passed part four of the exam at about 2 am Thurs morning ( I know, I know, I?m like the NASBA stalker, up at 2 in the morning, hunting for my score) J I passed each part on the first try (BEC 87, AUD 85, REG 80 and FAR 85) and I could not have done it without you. Seriously ? your humor, the fact that you crack yourself up. I love it. You kept me awake through all those videos that you were the instructor on and I actually was relieved and looked forward to the parts you were teaching. You are such an awesome instructor ? Please let Phil know that I finally passed REG with an 80. I have now completed all four parts.
I want to thank the entire Yaeger Team. For me, this process started in 2004 (when the exam went to the computer-based format) and I used various CPA providers (i.e. Bisk, Becker and Gleim). Between those providers, I only passed AUD and BEC. Then in July 2009, when I learned about Yaeger CPA Review, I became a convert and passed all 4 sections within a little over a year. FAR- 80, AUD- 75, BEC -80, REG- 74, 80. Now I can move forward with my career and don’t have to take the new CPA Exam coming in January 2011.

I passed REG in February, BEC and AUD in May, and I just got my FAR result back on Wednesday night, passing with an 80!!
I could not have done it without your review program, and I really mean that. I tried other programs at first and had no success. I just wanted to mention that I took the [Reg] exam on Thursday and Phil Yaegar did an excellent job of explaining all of the concepts. I did not have trouble with anything on the exam (no surprises).
I have taken other review courses, and they throw all of these mnemonics at the students and in the end, no one learns anything and in some cases, even gets confused with all of them! Phil’s course EXPLAINS everything, the logic…and since I do not like to memorize only (I like to learn and understand what I am learning), I enjoyed the course. Even if I did not pass, I can at least say that I did learn a lot (even Business Law, which I have not looked at for years).

Thank you Phil Yaeger for putting together this course. I had taken FAR 3 times with Becker. The first time I scored 60, then after additional studying, got a 63, and then after having all of the Becker books memorized, a 70.
I was about to call it quits with the CPA when my mom advised I try a fourth time with a different review course. I found out about Yaeger on an online forum. I took FAR (my last part) 6 days before AUD, (my first part), that was going to expire. I just got the result in the mail. I passed with an 85. Oh and did I mention studing for the exam was…fun??!

I just wanted to share with you my good news about CPA results since I’ve been studying with Yaeger.
Before using Yaeger I used the Wiley books alone for BEC (74) and REG (73). That’s when I decided to try Yaeger.
Using CRAM to retake BEC, I passed with an 83.
Then I used Homestudy and CRAM for FAR to pass with an 84, and used Homestudy alone for AUD and scored 88.
Now I just have a retake of REG in July and I’m preparing with CRAM.
I’m so happy with my results!

I just wanted to write to you and express my gratitude and thanks for your review course, Yaeger CPA Review. I had failed BEC 3 times (68,68,66) with the Becker review, and when I failed the third time with a lower score than the first two times I knew I had to change something. I came across your review course on Another 71′s web page, and heard it came highly recommended from Jeff Elliott, who had also struggled with BEC. I was skeptical at first, because I had never heard of your website, but I took a chance, and it definitely paid off!! I ended up getting an 80, and have now completed the exam.
I loved all three of your instructors, especially Cindy. She made some of the most difficult parts of the exam, cost and managerial accounting, which I struggled with the most, so much easier to understand. I also loved that you would use a white board, and actually do problems from the material during class, so I was actually able to understand what was going on and how to do it. Finally, I really liked the instructor interactions, and how they would respond with more than just a generic answer to my questions.
You at Yaeger CPA Review have done a great job, and truly have a tremendous product! It’s too bad I didn’t find you guys earlier and use you for the other 3 exams, I could have probably saved alot of money and time. I would definitely recommend Yaeger. I started with Bisk and the first time I took FAR I got a 60. After utilizing Yaeger HS, I passed with a 79!!! I wanted to say THANK YOU so much for offering such great materials that really made a difference to me. I was using Gleim because I had to pay for my study materials out of my own pocket, and Gleim was as cheap as you can get. But I was just not passing, 52 in FAR, 68 in BEC.
After barely passing BEC, with a 77, I decided I could actually save money but paying a little more for study materials instead of wasting money taking these tests over and over.
First one was REG with Phil. He was AWESOME. I was so scared, as I always did bad in my Tax classes, but I passed with a 87 for my first try
So I knew I had a winner.I then went with AUD but really struggled and after failing, again, I was going to give up. But instead, I decided to try FAR (was thinking it was going to take me several tries) and again I passed 1st time after taking your review course. Cindy deserves a RAISE. Using her technique [...] really helped me. I barely passed with a 75, but that was enough.
Then I went back to AUD again. This time I got the AUD Cram and I think that really helped me. And I just found out I got an 82 on my 4th try with AUD.
I am now a CPA, 2 1/2 years after taking first test.
I would highly recommend your course to anyone taking the CPA. I actually have been asked by about 5 people at my job who are now going for it as they said I gave them inspiration (ha!) I told them they could do anything if they put their minds and hearts into it (and use Yaeger of course). I know my husband is glad to have me back as this was one of the hardest things I have ever done in my life.

After using Becker to study for Regulation twice (making a 74 and then 73), I knew that I had to pick a different route if I was going to pass my last remaining test, before starting to lose credits. I tried Bisk and Becker in the past, and continuously made 69s and 70s. At first, I thought it was me, and not necessarily the material. A co-worker informed me he used Yaeger, and it worked out quite well for him too. I finally found a system that works for people who are more classroom learners, and not those who can ?highlight this, and circle that?, and pass the exam (lol). “I used Becker the first 2 times, then a combo of Becker and Gleim and was ball parking a 98% avg. and a 92% avg. on them respectively. However, I failed 3 times…this last time I switched to Yaeger and I cannot say enough good things about it. I felt much more prepared going in than I have before because they really “teach” and they go into the nitty-gritty behind how and why you do things. Also, the Wiley book that they use comes w/ a great set of over 1200 multi. choice questions that I found to be very comprehensive! I would like to thank Yaeger CPA Review for helping me to pass the CPA exam! I used another CPA review course to pass FAR, AUD, and BEC, but was having trouble understanding and remembering all of the topics in REG (since I?m an auditor, tax law is foreign to me). I did both [Becker and Yaeger] and have to say that when I did Yaeger, I found that everything I struggled with on Becker was explained way better. The [Becker] FAR Live course I had was just a man who played the CDs and when it came to the questions, he went with however it’s explained on the CD. For some reason, when I did Becker, I had to try and interpret the concepts whereas Yaeger, they tell you how it is! The lectures in Becker are a lot shorter, but that’s because Yaeger spends more time helping you understand the concept. Easy choice…Yaeger!

When I worked at KPMG I got Becker through them. When I studied for REG using Becker, I gave up my whole life for 2 months and did everything they told me. I was obviously devastated after failing with a 65 on my last part. I started using the Yaeger Home Study on Sept. 26th and took the REG exam again on Oct. 26th. My Reg score went from a 65 to an 82. If I had used Becker again, I’m certain I would be sitting for REG again. But I’m not!!

So, here is the thing. I switched from Becker to Yaeger after multiple failing scores. I went back to look at the Statement of Cash Flows explanation in my Becker book after conquering it today with Cindy’s explanation. Seriously, I still don’t understand that Becker had me write for it. But, I understand Cindy’s explanation and got the MCQs right and that is all that matters. Same idea for EPS except that it only makes sense after applying the rules. Knowing a formula is no good unless you know what numbers to stick into it. I finally feel as though I have been taught instead of lectured to on FARE!

I am writing to you to say thank you. I made a promise to myself that I would write this email to you once I passed the CPA exam. Well, I did and I am SOOOO glad. I purchased the Yaeger Homestudy DVDs after I failed FAR THREE times using Becker. After the 3rd time, I knew Becker just wouldn’t do it for me, so I decided to try Yaeger. On the 4th try, I passed FAR using Yaeger and my score went from 68 to 78. I couldn’t be happier. What Yaeger did it for me that Becker didn’t were the methods and explanations given by the instructors made sense to me and clarified the materials for me in ways that Becker couldn’t. This is especially true for an instructor named Cynthia Simpson. She is VERY good in explaining materials and I believe I definitely could not have passed FAR without her and Yaeger.

I wanted to compliment the Yeager team on helping me pass the CPA exams. I purchased the home study program and three of the CRAM courses. It had been many years since I finished my college courses so this program turned into more of a learning program than a review program. The Wiley books are well written and easy to read but I preferred the DVD program. The DVDs and the instructors provided me with better motivation than reading alone. The CRAM courses offered a perfect review of the home study course. This program was wonderful and I highly recommend it. Thank you Phil and Cindy and Company! Thank you, John for assisting me over the past year with the many questions I had. Bonni was correct when she told me that that I could not afford not to buy the CRAM courses. It seemed like a lot of money up front, but I can now say that it was totally worth it because it is all behind me now.

I just wanted to extend my thanks to the team at Yaeger. I just found out today that I passed my first section, REG, with the help of your Home Study product. I initially tried to study on my own, using a different program that offered no lectures, however, as exam time approached, I found that I had not even gotten through one section on my own. I decided to buy the Yaeger Home Study product for Regulation. I had 4 week to get through the material before I sat for the exam. I must admit, it was close, and I only got through all of the assigned multiple choice questions once. Apparently, it was enough; I found out today from the VA board that I passed with a 91! I was astounded. I must confess that I was really concerned with the sims, but I found them to be easier than the multiple choice questions; I think Phil’s explanations of the concepts really made that happen.

I really enjoyed the DVD classes and the teaching style; Phil broke everything down into manageable pieces that I could easily understand, notate, and remember. FinalIy I am a CPA. Thanks to Jeff and Yaeger. Last year during August I cleared BEC and FAR in my first attempt. That made me a little lazy, and this year when I appeared for REG and AUD in May, I failed both with 68 and 73. I did not prepare properly and I was using outdated material (Becker 2006). Then from this site I heard about Yaeger and I ordered the REG and AUD homestudy. I had only less than 2 months to prepare and appear for exams. I appeared for REG on 31 July and AUD on 7 Aug. I got 83 for REG and 81 for AUD. Once again thanks to all.

About a month ago, I purchased the Yeager Regulation Audio from you during my study cram time immediately in the few days leading up to the exam. I had taken regulation in the past on two occasions scoring a 71 on both attempts. During those attempts I had used both Bisk CPA Ready, Kaplan Flash Cards, and Wiley to prepare. After reading the another71.com website and the testimonials on your site, I decided that I needed something additional to my Wiley software and textbook this time. I purchased and listened to the lectures consistently over a 4 day period on my iPod especially when I took a few breaks from answering questions. I subsequently took the exam and recalled on numerous occasions certain information that I remembered from listening to the lectures alone. Just wanted to share a recent story dealing with Yaeger here…
I just took FAR on 5/29. Leading up to that date, I purchased Yaeger’s FAR CRAM to study through Memorial Day weekend with. Upon starting the program online, I had troubles connecting up with the server using the link that was provided. I immediately called the number on Yaeger’s site and got a hold of Phil himself while he was on vacation with his family. He immediately tracked down an answer for me that fixed the issue. Additionally, he called me back a couple of times just to give me some pointers on how to use the cram and what items to really listen in on. He also followed up with telling me to contact him again if I had any questions. GREAT customer service!
I was just about wrapped up with my studying the Thursday before, and I decided to email Cindy Simpson with some questions. Naturally I should have realized that instructors need some lead time to answer questions for you, but Cindy took the questions I had and gave me very detailed answers via email in short order, and also gave me some last-minute encouragement to take the exam.
I took it on 5/29 and felt very prepared. Phil and Cindy were outstanding in taking a personal interest in my studying and preparation, and I could not be any more pleased with their friendly service. I would recommend any of their review materials to anybody! I had my first passing score with BEC after using their CRAM for that exam and scored 10 points better than I had in the last time trying.

I received my score for my final section of the CPA exam this past Saturday. I had passed the BEC and Audit sections last Summer and Fall. I had been struggling with the REG and FAR sections. I used several CPA review courses. I could not figure out why I was not passing these exams. I was putting forth the time and effort and the results were not there. Since I had used other review courses, I was very skeptical that another review course would have helped, but I went ahead with the cram course for REG. After taking the REG exam, I could tell immediately that I knew so much more than before. Then I went ahead and purchased the vram course for FAR. I went from a 66 to an 81 in REG and I went from a 71 to a 79 in FAR! When watching your lectures, I could immediately tell that Phil was aware of the tricky questions that they have on the exam. Your lectures and the Wiley questions focused in on the types of questions that were asked on the exam. These questions made a huge difference as compared to the questions from other CPA review courses. I honestly do not think that I would have passed the exam without the lectures and the Wiley questions since I struggled so much beforehand. A big thanks to the Yaeger team!!

I was extremely frustrated with other course providers because I never felt completely prepared to take the exams until a co-worker recommended your review course. I would like to thank everyone at Yaeger CPA Review. I just found out last week that I passed my last part which was Regulation. I started Yaeger CPA review in January, I needed to sit and pass three parts (BEC, REG & AUD) by July 31st. If I did not sit and pass, then my FAR score would expire. (I studied and passed FAR with another review program.) I ended up moving to another state and needed to figure out how I was going to get this accomplished. I got a few co-workers together and told them about Yaeger. We decided to go in together and purchase the review course. Yaeger made it easy for us with their study buddy plan. I sat for each part and passed AUD and REG on the first try, but I had to retake BEC. Even though I had one setback, I didn’t give up. I knew that I could do this and with the help of every one at Yaeger CPA Review, I was able to pass these last three sections in 7 months.
I am relieved. It was a challenge to study and get this done. I have a family and there were heavy demands on my time, between home, work and studying. Yaeger made it easy by allowing me to set the pace of when, where and how I wanted to study.

I just received the last of my results about the CPA exam. I had passed FAR nearlly 18 months ago and was at risk of losing that credit. I was getting very discouraged after going 2 years of studying with GLEIM. I ordered your materials and was able to pass Regulation and Business on the first try after using your materials. In January I ordered the DVDs for FAR and REG and passed FAR in February (76) and and REG in May (86). Then I ordered the DVDs for BEC and Audit. I now have passed all four parts. I did not have the luxury of too much time available to me to study, so sitting in front of the TV and watching the videos late at night really came in handy.
